Where are those Sounds (coming-out of Iceland) from the past decade!

Coming from this country there are so many artists. Just that the first ones come to the mind: Björk, GusGusJóhann Jóhannsson, JFDRKiasmos, Ólafur Arnalds, Paul Oscar, Sigur Rós, Vök just to name a few.

Six key points to follow:

· Initially the education characterized by being less burdensome than the western one but directed from very early to the path that the student seeks.

· The technology used outside and inside the classrooms allows the latest trends to be available and provides incentives that help bring ideas to fruition.

· The influence of punk when realizing the independence of Denmark marked the “do it yourself” style, where taking risks to create something new or reinvent the established and express it is completely natural mate.

· The stable economy allows you to experiment without fear of losing a lot.

· The natural environment, its sounds and landscapes provide organic materials that facilitates us to transmit emotions regardless of the language barrier.

· The music scene in Iceland which is increasingly contributing (artistically and culturally) to the world.

Valdina's "Yfir Borgina", Of Monsters And Men's "King and Lionheart" or even Hjaltalín's "I Feel You". Somebody remember any of this songs? Neither me, but it was a moment when that sound defined the music industry and it was involved in a new marketing era for the country. The success of a festival such as SÓNAR expanded its brand settled back in 2014. Árni Skeng, HögniEVA808, Sykur and even Vök were there just three years ago. Someone can even imagine them in a concert right now? (ok, just imagine that it's not 2020)

It is for this reason that above are some another groups that are consolidating this floristic music landscapes in the past decade. And it is a real deep mood, all of this artist can identify with. Everybody must know them because they were in the spotlight. Massive show, ceremony awards, concerts in every corner of the Planet Earth!

All we have left is to keep playing the vibrant folk and pop traditional music coming from Iceland mate!
